It was my last official day at college yesterday. I thought I would cry, but I didn't - it wasn't as sad as leaving high school. I went out for a meal last night with the people from my class and others who are doing A2 Theology and philosophy, as well as our teachers. It was lovely, and we all (including the teachers!) ended up going to the pub afterwards! It was fun! :)
Anyway, the reason for this post is to show you my Avon haul!
I got the Speed Dry nail polish in Strawberry, the True Colour eyeshadow quad in Electric Purple, Ultra Colour Rich Moisture Seduction lipstick in Lilac Shimmer, Glazewear Intense lipgloss, Smooth Minerals lipstick in Smooth Nude and Precision Glimmer Creme in Burnished Copper.
The lipgloss applicator, which I like because it has a wider, flatter tip. |

Lilac shimmer marbled lipstick. |
Reminds me of a lip balm, and feels like one on too. |

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the products. The lilac lipstick feels nice on - light and moisturising, though it lacked the pigmentation I imagined it would have. It seems to go on quite pale and see-through, meaning that it takes a few coats to get it up to a good opacity.
The lipgloss is lovely, with a nice nude beige colour which is transparent on. It has a nice amount of glitter in it - not too much, just enough to subtly sparkle in the light. It again feels nice and light, and doesn't feel sticky.
The second lipstick, the Smooth Minerals one, is one of my favourite products out of this set. It feels like a lipbalm on - light, moisturising and a bit more waxy than the lipstick. It has a nice subtle colour that goes on the lips a peachy pinky beigey colour, and has only the finiest glitter pieces in it. In fact, you can't really tell there's glitter in it at all, as they just kind of blend into the colour. Furthermore, it isn't as glossy as the lipstick, meaning it looks more natural on the lips.
Another of my favourite products is the precision glimmer creme eyeshadow, because it has such a lovely, vibrant colour. The applicator is just what the packaging says it is - precise, though it is small. This eyeshadow has good staying power, though does crease a tiny bit (I was really impressed though - I wore it without primer).
The nail varnish is great for those (like me) who just don't have the capacity to sit still and wait for nail varnish to dry. I nearly always end up having to do my nails again because I've smudged it doing something when I should be waiting for them to dry. With this nail polish though, I won't have that problem because it really does dry super fast! Its application brush is also a stroke (hehe) of genius, because it literally takes about 30 seconds to apply this colour, meaning this really is a speedy varnish! Its flat and wide, so you only need three swipes to cover your nail, and the colour is so opaque you really only need to do one coat.
One of the things I really like about Avon is its packaging - I think it looks really sleek and professional.
